I’m a Senior Production Designer and Filmmaker based in Plymouth, with a background that bridges technical precision and creative storytelling.

Before working in media, I ran my own building business for several years, learning the importance of reliability, client communication, and adaptability — often in challenging environments. That same drive for challenge and teamwork led me to serve six years in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer Technician, including a tour in the Gulf of Aden. My time in the Navy strengthened my discipline, problem-solving, and leadership — qualities that now underpin every project I take on.

After leaving the forces, I pursued my passion for film, studying BA (Hons) Filmmaking at the University of Plymouth, where I graduated with First Class Honours. During my studies, I joined Shield Media Services, working on weddings, corporate films, and promotional campaigns — experiences that refined both my creative eye and my understanding of client management.

 

Today, as Senior Production Designer at MLA College, I lead a multidisciplinary production team creating award-winning educational and promotional content for audiences around the world. My work spans directing, filming, editing, and managing large-scale media libraries to ensure consistent, high-quality storytelling across all platforms.

I’m a CAA-qualified drone pilot and continually expand my creative and technical toolkit — from mastering Adobe After Effects to exploring new approaches in visual storytelling and social media marketing. My long-term goal is to develop as a self-shooting Director of Photography, focusing on documentary filmmaking that captures authentic human stories.
